A warm ambiance, conducive to an exchange of words pertaining to nuances of language in a person-to-person communication led to these written words.
For now, the situation may be in an environment where an early-born-infant-parent dyad initiates their nursing relationship.
Many perinatal health care providers have had the opportunity to perfect their skill to support healthy term nursing dyads, such as those implementing programs such as the BFHI/BFI.Some providers may be deepening their understanding of the nature of assisting mothers/parents who are expressing milk for their premature infant.
Staff training is seen as an effective way to improve breastfeeding/chest feeding/lactating counseling practices. Acquiring better knowledge by providing dyads with information on the mastery of technique; human milk expression, or alternative feeding methods, for example. Notably, by carefully helping the dyad become familiar with the neonatal environments and its language, in a mindful manner.
Interactive educational activities may foster, in kind, multidisciplinary team approach to support nursing dyads in the neonatal unit. Some health care providers reported that a friendly atmosphere was helpful for competency assessment activities.
People working together, inclined at developing competency and at having skills assessed as to improve practice; to benefit expression. And to revalue them in a supportive language; a language that is, in this respect, meaningful and has a lasting significance for the lactating dyad.
Whether it be at a training event on a specific theme or integrated with other training activities, the welcoming ambiance certainly lends itself to translating practices into words, to expressing words of support and comfort.
In this way, the welcoming atmosphere allows for conversation with the mother/parent-infant dyads and amongst themselves as their care providers.
May supportive expression define your journey.
