Chez nous, comme dans plusieurs maisonnées, s’adonner à des jeux de société en écoutant de la musique folklorique fait partie de la tradition du Temps des Fêtes tout comme prendre des résolutions pour le Nouvel An.
Un moment festif où l’ambiance est joviale, ce qui nourrit à son tour la motivation de s’engager à faire quelque chose de mieux pour la nouvelle année.
Je trouve que cette activité se parallélise au processus évolutif de la mise en œuvre de l’IHAB/IAB.
Cela est vrai, une ambiance positive au travail, entre autres, est susceptible de favoriser la motivation à s’engager dans des activités visant à apporter des changements en vue d’une amélioration ; en implantant les meilleures pratiques dans les services de soins périnatals, par exemple.
Au fil des ans, j’ai eu la chance d’entretenir un dialogue, avec du personnel inspiré par leur travail, qui projetait l’atteinte d’objectifs de programmes qualité. Cette expérience m’amène à partager une histoire : une qui illustre la créativité.
État de choses : Un groupe de prestataires de soins de santé se penchant sur le développement du savoir-faire en matière de communication, voire à renforcer la communication efficace avec les usagers de l’unité de soins périnatals.
Le concept semblait plutôt simple, au départ.
La discussion se déroulait harmonieusement, les idées elles, allaient dans tous les sens — créant ainsi une joyeuse cacophonie. Différents points relatifs aux techniques de communication ont été abordés. Signifiants, les uns aussi bien que les autres : voir aux perceptions altérées et aux lacunes en matière d’information, par exemple. Décidément, les valeurs du programme qualité se reflétaient dans l’exploration des idées.
Une discussion ouverte a probablement conduit à la proposition de restreindre les points à un seul. L’équipe a trouvé un moyen de tourner leurs pensées vers un objectif commun. Le rire et l’ouverture d’esprit à l’amélioration ont fait place à une décision de groupe de s’engager d’abord dans un autoexamen. En d’autres termes, les membres de l’équipe ont décidé d’examiner attentivement les habiletés en communication qu’ils utilisent entre eux, pour commencer.
Cette activité a donné lieu à des constats astucieux ; un des membres a même pris des notes, ce qui lui a permis d’identifier précisément un mot auquel s’intéresser. Le concept est simple, après tout. — Changer pour le mieux, un mot à la fois.
Enfin, l’ambiance et la simplicité contribuent à animer et à inspirer l’engagement à faire quelque chose de mieux pour la nouvelle année, tout au long de l’année.
