Change of Ownership

November 2014

Since creating Health e-Learning in 2000, the GOLD Conferences in 2007 and (officially) Step2 Education in 2012, it has been our pleasure and privilege to serve the Lactation industry that we adore so very much. However the time has come for us to pass the baton on and it is with great excitement that I'd like to tell you that Step2 Education is now in the very capable hands of our long-time friends and colleagues Dr. Lenore Goldfarb and Carole Dobrich of the International Institute of Human Lactation Inc.

Lenore's and Carole's enduring enthusiasm and passion for lactation education, as well as their vision to help every baby receive the best start in life, aligns with our own philosophy. Their continuing commitment to ensure that high-quality, evidence-based education be affordable and accessible is obvious in their current work at the International Institute of Human Lactation.

Lenore and Carole also recognise that Step2 Education has gathered together a young, vibrant and enthusiastic team in Sam, Hayley, Jeff, Kelly and Kathy and are keen to keep this dynamic team together, which means the transition will be seamless.

Steve and I want to thank you so much for your support and trust in our programs. We have mixed feelings about our retirement - after 14 years working with such wonderful, caring people, it's hard to say farewell. With our first grandchildren on the way, we say hello to Lactation from a different perspective and look back with pride and wonder at all the many IBCLCs and Baby Friendly Hospitals available to our soon-to-arrive grandchildren.

To our colleagues from all over the world, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being who you are and making this world a better place for babies and families.

We leave you in excellent hands knowing that Lenore and Carole, along with all the current Step2 Education team, will continue to support you in the fabulous work you all do. The Step2 Education team are on hand to answer any questions you may have and you may reach them any time at Cette adresse e-mail est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. So it is with many mixed feelings that I say farewell to you all, and wish you, your hospitals and staff and all the mothers and babies who will ever come into your care the very best.
